2026 is the year when it all finally comes together after years of learning, experimenting, fun, hard work, drinking beers with friends, painful mistakes and lots of support and encouragement from a whole host of wonderful people. From Jan 1st 2026, Thirsky Work Brewery is live and open for business. Definitely exciting times…..
Ok, so what about the beers?
We plan to keep it relatively simple and just stick to some core principles: quality, fresh ingredients plus taking care and time to make every batch as good as possible through high standards. Our beers are not aiming to be radical or cutting edge but they will be interesting and very drinkable so everyone actually enjoys them.
How do I buy some?
Now this is the unusual bit. We only have a licence for ‘off sales’ and those sales are for delivery only. So we are not allowed visitors for sales or for drinking. So…. Our micro business model is simple – we sell our beers only through our ‘beer club’ subscription. This means if you sign up, we will deliver to you (YO7 postcode only for now) monthly, two freshly brewed beers (4x330ml bottles of each beer – 8 bottles in total). The beers are chosen by us but of course, we are always keen to take on board suggestions and ideas. We aim to make one quality beer which will be relatively conservative such a Czech Pilsner, Mosaic Pale Ale or Yorkshire Bitter and a second quality beer that will be more ‘interesting’ such as a grapefruit IPA, Spruce Ale or Christmas Spiced Strong Ale. As our capacity is unbelievably small, we can’t offer alternatives – this may sound a little dictatorial but you’re going to have to trust us on this one!! Our monthly price for 8 beers (including delivery to YO7 postcodes) is £24.
Our sustainability promise means FREE BEER to you!
We promise to operate in the most sustainable way we can. We only package in bottles and we love to recycle these. It’s common sense to us, keeps costs down and it’s a win win for our customers. If you can keep the bottles we supply and put them out on delivery day – for every 8 bottles we collect we will drop a **BONUS BEER** – MAKING 9 BEERS IN TOTAL
